Now is the best time to become a member of the Jaycees. Since we had so many people age out and many that are on the verge of aging out, now is the perfect time to become a member of the Choteau Jaycees. We need new leadership and a new focus for our community and organization. Do you love to give back, want to give back or just want to get out and meet new people in our community? The Choteau Jaycees are again offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior at Choteau High School who plans to pursue higher education at a college, university or technical school. All seniors are encouraged to apply and applications are available from guidance counselor Patsy Betcher.

The scholarship will be awarded based on need (40 percent), activities (20 percent), scholastics (20 percent) and community service (20 percent). The award will be announced at the student awards program in May. The scholarship will be sent to the school of the winning student’s choice once he or she has enrolled.

Completed applications should be sent to the Choteau Jaycees at P.O. Box 272, Choteau, MT 59422, by May 1.
