ABC News anchor Christiane Amanpour made a return to CNN for an hour in an interview with Piers Morgan , about her career, politics and more. It airs Wednesday, 9pmET/PT. She talked about being a female war correspondent, and the Lara Logan assault in Egypt. "It's clearly an appalling thing to have happened," she said. "I think it's every woman's nighmare. I am grateful that nothing ever like that ever happened to me, and I spent my career covering those kinds of events and much worse."
But does she think being a female can sometimes help when reporting in the Middle East?
"It's been a great help being a woman. I say, it's like being a man only better," said Amanpour. "I have found it has been a great advantage even in places like Saudi Arabia...Being a female correspondent, having a female crew with me, has been an amazing door-opener."
