Competitive cheerleading champ set for John Carroll High
John Carroll Catholic High School will have a competitive cheerleading Basic Skills and Fundamentals of Stunting Camp, as well as a Team Skills and Fundamentals of Stunting and Pyramids Camp, next Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the school gymnasium.
The camps are for students in grades 2-8, and cost is $85 per person.
Campers at the Basic Skills Camp will learn skills and fundamentals of stunting, cheering, motions and crowd leading. The Team Skills Camp is based on current performance levels with the goal of advancing team skills, and there is a 10-team-member minimum to attend.
Golden Rams cheerleading coach Maria Flynn, who has 16-plus years of experience, will direct the camp and will be assisted by her current high school coaching staff and cheerleaders.

The Class of 1991 will be celebrating its 20-year reunion on August 5th and 6th. Friday, August 5th classmates and friends will meet in downtown Fort Pierce at Friday Fest. Saturday, August 6th will be a family day at John Carroll High School. Mass will be at 11:00 AM and at noon the luncheon will be catered by Dale’s Barbeque. Saturday evening at 7:00 PM there will be a party for alumni and spouses at Cobb’s Landing downtown. Appetizers, cash bar, and a DJ will be provided. The cost for the weekend is $60 per person.
