Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc, the second largest manufacturer of jet engines, has settled a patent dispute with United Technologies Corporation (UTX) 's Pratt & Whitney unit.
Terms were not disclosed. The companies have asked the court filings on July 15 dismissal of two civil suits against each other. The settlement also covers a related case before the U.S. International Trade Commission, which threatened to delay the delivery of Boeing Co. (BA) 's 787 Dreamliner passenger aircraft.
