The PGA Tour removed a ban on fans carrying cell phones at tournaments, and now the John Deere Classic is introducing an application that will encourage fans to have their handhelds at the ready at TPC Deere Run in July.

The John Deere Classic App is available free for iPhones and Androids and will enable fans to track scores, checks tee times, follow player tweets and even purchase tickets. The application also will feature up-to-the-minute news about available parking lots and shuttle buses.

"We think the John Deere Classic app will be valuable to fans before they arrive at the tournament and will enhance their experience once they get to Deere Run," said tourney director Clair Peterson.

Fans with cell phones must follow PGA Tour guidelines which will be posted at the course. That includes silencing ringtones.

2) Pick out your software to edit the clip down.

When you have an idea of what you want to do with your ringtone sounds, you need software that can cut this down for you, and that means utilizing a freeware sound editing program. The undisputed champion of the internet is always going to be Audacity.  Pretty basic, but it allows you to cut and paste and chop sounds apart, so that you can really edit what’s there, and make something completely new.  Plus you really can’t beat free.
